A year ago, that was just a $69 stock.

Cool, I would like to see the sight. The one I saw said a hole had to be drilled for the windage adjustment.

I don't think the Mk V will make the trip unfortunately which I'm bummed about. I still have to fix the crack in the forestock before I can fire it. I finally got the tie plate out tonight so now I can get in there and fix it.

It says "PH-5C" on it, which I suppose is the model number. It looked like a drop in but since you asked, I decided to make sure. So I removed the rear sight on my Maltby. Also removed the screw (ejector?) that goes into the left side of the receiver (below and to the left of the stripper clip bridge). The sight mounts into that hole and also the left hole where the original rear sight mounted. So yes, it is completely reversable and no drilling is needed. Maybe Parker Hale made more than one model?

I do not know much about these things - a friend had the sight and I thought it looked nifty so I bought it off him. And although it was not the plan, I think I will leave it on this rifle and shoot it this weekend

Sights for Enfields could be a thread subject in itself, I've never seen so many variations made for one rifle. Scroll down through these pics, interesting stuff.

Trying to find someone local (Los Angeles/SFV/Burbank area) to replace the hammer mounted firing pin on one of my Colt Official Police revolvers. I've ruled out doing it myself and so far my only reliable choice is Jim Hoag in Canoga Park...but every time I drop by he seems to be closed already.

Building a shop and garage for my C&R's in total 1,680 square feet of space. I'm doing most of the work myself with the help of a few subs. I drew the plans myself...Also removed 21 large dump truck loads of dirt to make the spot level. Good fun. Now if the monsoon's will cooperate I can get the roof on and the building sealed up...

                  Some inletting required?
Now that is a man cave! Did you build in a vault?
Those monsoons are no joke. I thought I knew what rain was after living on the north coast, until I experienced one that had pumpkin size rocks washing through the parking lot!

Marquand, good decision not to try it, the Colt FP's are a real PITA to replace. S&W used a hollow rivet, and they are fairly easy to do, "IF" you can find a new rivet to install.
Colt used a solid pin, and getting one out, without the know how, you'll trash the hammer. The only smith I know of that specializes in old Colt DA's is in NE, and he has a 2yr backlog! Who ever you find to do it, make sure they've done one before.

Yup some minor wood work ... It will have a strong room and AC in the "museum" as my wife calls it, and it will have water.

Here is what the area looked like before all the digging and destruction. I moved 6 pine trees...

My hat is off to you, that is quite an undertaking you have going. Just moving all of that dirt is bad enough but reloacting six pine trees too is pretty amazing.
