    SA Marked Guns

Thinking of my love for anything Finn marked, I started wondering how many types rifles/pistols are known to be SA marked. For the purposes of this, I'd like to exclude anything that's Finn produced (M39, M28/30, etc) and accessories. I'll start with what I own and can think of off the top of my head:

    M91
    M91/30
    M1895
    M96 Swede
    SVT40

    M38 Carcano
    Type 38 Arisaka
    M94 Swede Carbine

I do wonder if there are any 1895 Winchesters floating around with SA stamped on them.

Someone gave me some Finn-manufactured .303 British ammo. I believe it's dated 1938, but I'm not at home to check. So they had some Enfields. I have no idea whether they ever marked them SA or overhauled them or whatever.

The Finns used .303 in their Aircraft MGs.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Uh... I'm guessing that's what they were chambered in?

Finland didn't have much of an Airforce, and purchased planes from wherever they could get them. They had biplanes from the British, Soviets, Italy, Sweden, Germany and US.

The Germans supplied them with US built Curtis P-36 Hawks that were captured from France:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-36_Hawk scroll down to: Finland- it explains how they refitted the Curtis planes with Browning 7.7 (303) Machine Guns.

These MGs were used on the Hawker, Gloster and Bristol planes:

Yep, I've got an SA marked m38 carcano short rifle. nice thing about them is the Finns put taller front sights on them so you don't have to aim like 10 feet low to hit anything under 300m. Rarity aside, pretty much anything the Finns touched, they improved. Gotta love that.

I don't think so. . . they really were not accepted into the Finnish Army (but I could be wrong),

                            Don't forget [SA] marked Lugers!

And there are some [SA] marked Broomhandles as well:

and some Italian Model 1935 Berettas as well:

and, of course, Soviet Nagant revolvers:

And those are just some of the [SA] marked items that EMPIRE ARMS has handled over the past few years.
