That part was great, but that doesn't make the show great. They've jumped the shark now too many times to count. I do want to see this episode, though.

Long as Daryl doesn't use it, we should be fine......lol
Anybody notice the M44 on Walking Dead last night? Okay actually they showed it (from far away) a few weeks ago. Last night it got some spotlight!

      This one has a GIF.

They had a few close up scenes where you can see it's a T53.
      Edit:

      damn, beat me to it.

I got on here right now SPECIFICALLY to see if anyone else had noticed this
My wife was watching TWD next to me when I chimed up, "That's a Mosin!" She just looked at me and rolled her eyes. Good thing he didn't shoot it, it would have attracted zombies for miles around.

I have to say, if you find yourself out of ammo is there a gun you would prefer over the mosin?

Now couple that with how stingy you are going to be with your ammo in a zombie apocalypse. I have one, wouldn't be my first choice but it would be in the top twenty.
(This Calguns thread is at the top of Google results for 'Walking Dead Mosin'.)

I play with my bayonets a lot.
Post-war M44's are ramped like that also. My 1943 is the single claw design, my 1946 is the double claw.

Bayonets will make a comeback in the zombie apocalypse for sure.

Just watched the episode, and figured this thread how to exist! :-) I always wondered what that Bayonet Bayonet was for. :-)

I love the show and the fact they used a M44 is just way cool. I have a Romy M44 that is dead on accurate but honestly not my first choice. Said ammo during this time would be hard to acquire. Second every one and there brother (including military and police) has a 223/5.56. This ammo would be readily available and would be certainly almost anywhere. As for bayonet just add one, duck-tape, bayonet lug, ect...Just my 2 cents. Still love the fact of them showing a M44.
