    This new " law'
has really taken a Lot of the Fun out of this forum

I know ...Someone is going to jump in and say
"" Just get the COE ""
    But

    Why ???

    Things worked just fine before

Why should I pay this state more money

I was slammed the last 2 most with job apps and buying guns. I'm afraid to tell y'all how deep I am in the hole after plane tickets and 5 rifles in one month

I've been taking a small break. I have to get some money back, lol. I'll buy some small stuff, but no rifles for a while. I'll enjoy what I have and buy ammo as I need to

The normal post-holidays lull, plus registration seem like the most likely culprits. Then again, there hasn't been anything "new" come up since those Enfield jungle carbines a few months back...it's the same old same old (mostly Mosins and busted up SKS).

Well, the good news is Nevada and Arizona are not far away...

I'm also looking into a COE but I haven't had time to deal with it yet.

Yeah, this time next year, I'll be in Alabama. It's only for a year, but hopefully we'll be in either Texas or Colorado after that.

Nothing has been "found" lately, so no big rush buy the newest discovery.

Plus this forum is pretty mellow and drama free...and drama creates intrest and posting.

And the end year was big run up getting stuff, kinda resting trying figure out how procede with hobby. Probably just get a COE cause not going to let the left ruin my hobby.

my rifle collecting is done for the time being.

ill probably pick up some antiques, but with your typical antique rifle costing about 2 or 3 times as your typical antique, they will be far and few between.

Let's get teh C&R rolling again

                      As I was saying:

                      1. Artillery Luger

                      2. FN-49 in .30-06

                      3. Persian Carbine Mauser

                      4. Magazines for M721 Broomhandle Mauser

                      5. Surplus or new ammo for Argentine Mauser - 7.65 x 53

                      6. Ruger Super Blackhawk .41 Mag 6 or 7 1/2" (okay so this is not quire a C&R)

So who has what for sale?

For those of you who are voting with your feet, congratulations and good luck. For the rest of us poor saps who are stuck here in the trenches for the time being, C&R life must go on. We should look at the tiny silver lining, those of us with FFL03 + COE can now buy Albanians and Yugos with no FFL01 or ten day, that's something. I know, not much. At least those of us with FFL03 + COE can still do cash and carry, err, sort of. I am glad that I pretty much bought everything I mostly want for C&Rs last year, although I still need some kind of Enfield but I am going to term that my 2014 rifle, I will just keep looking and scanning to find a Holy Grail Enfield, one of those unissued Longbranches would be nice and I have been hunting for a reasonably priced unissued Polish M44. I must say, scanning the C&R forum and talking with all of you about old guns is something I look forward to. Hopefully some of the retailers and importers are discovering new caches of C&R guns, you never know what will turn up. Sure, we have to register them but that will not stop me from ever buying another. By the time confiscation comes to this state, if I am not out of here, my guns will be so I am not too worried about it.

People like Bobby are the real inspiration, he has the bug worse than most of us and he keeps on buying even after he swore he was done (and selling) and honestly, that is half the fun of C&Rs, the hunt. While I will still be on the look out for C&Rs and enjoying the ones I have, I predict that 2014 will be the year of the AR for me. I don't even like ARs that much, but I love building them and I have quite a few lowers that I want to turn into rifles this year. I will probably build a few more AKs as well if I can find the money. Building a couple of AKs last year was probably the most gratifying gun related thing I have ever done so I want to do it some more. That bottom feeder DeLeon is peaking my interest in EBRs again so I am sure that will take up some time and resources. And of course, the other disease I have, reloading.

Forget ammo, reloading supplies! If you shoot C&Rs, you should be reloading. Other than for Mosins and perhaps SKS, reloading all of the other popular C&R calibers is SUCH a better deal. I still can't come even close to that Russkie spam can price though.
