I had a fexex guy do that for me the other day with hazmat stuff.

There is nothing in the law or regulation that requires that.

"The UPS driver we have now will leave packages behind the fence where they are protected by dogs..."

Guy over on FALFILES came home to dog chew toy and toothpicks which were formerly a nice wood butt stock...

          Surprisingly, that's incorrect.

A buddy of mine had me ask an ATF agent this at their booth when I was at the SAR show.

I would have bet $50 you could not. ATF agent answered otherwise- I'd have lost that bet!

I have had no problems with UPS to date. On several occasions I have had shipment held at the hub for Will Call. However, I was at the hub once where a heart surgeon was thoroughly pissed off at them for losing somebody’s replacement parts for their heart…

I don't hate UPS or Fed Ex, but when I have a choice I use the Post Office. Cheaper, faster then UPS ground, more convenient - I can walk to the PO, more predictable delivery times. What's not to like.

                    You have to disarm.

I actually just started work with UPS as a seasonal. They seem to be very customer geared. If the persons not home and there's no place to "Hide" the package, they will seek out a neighbor to have hold it.

If your getting lots of missed deliveries it means there's no place to hide the package where it won't be seen from the street and your neighbors hate you or there's too many people around watching the UPS guy to safely drop your package in a hiding spot.

USPS can sometimes screw over UPS because they have no hide it rules. So UPS drops a package behind a flower pot and USPS throws their package at your door and now the theif sees the USPS package from the street. Runs up and also finds the UPS package.

USPS has no problem dropping your PS4 off at the door as 100 kids just out of school look on. You think your package will still be there when you get home?

UPS has guys that follow drivers randomly insuring no packages can be seen from the street. I would imagine its just random here and there by since the drivers know this they stay on top of it.

I know some UPS drivers even carry dog treats for the problem dogs on their route. Sure they could just not deliver but these guys are paid well and take pride in tgeir job.

I have jus the opposite experiance with UPS. Its FEDEX I can't stand. UPS shows up around the same time every day, while fed ex can range from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm in my area. Also, FEDEX is 35 miles from my house, and you can't ship guns and powder to a fedex store, nor should you be able to sidetrack that shipment to a FEDEX store (kinko's)

ups comes at a different time every day here, while fedex seems to be around the same time always. however, today, fedex left a door tag for me on my neighbor's door. AND I was actually home and could've signed for it if the dumbass had come to the right door! seems like most of these guys belong at DMV.

USPS does that to me, they leave a slip in the mailbox without even driving up my driveway. I have watched them do it.

Also I have watched UPS drivers feed my dogs biscuits from over the fence. They just don't like to be barked at I guess

My US guy is awesome also. Rifles are delivered to me personally when I am there, even if someone *like a wife - is out to sign at times I am not there.

The UNITED POSTAL Service delivers nothing because my house is way back from the street. It won't deliver lead because it is too heavy (although it keeps the postal charge). I have to go in my wheelchair to the Post Office to pick it up because their workers won't lift it. Also it may be too big, or the dogs (which everyone else loves) can be seen.

Screw the Post Office and kudos for UPS.
