I wonder how much the 99 dollar Mosins have to do with that?
It takes them a while to process as many orders as they get. I would think bugging them will only make the process slower

Same here. No doubt these are priced right. Maybe we will see $100 91/30s again from the other resellers. Despite Classic's best puffery attempts, these don't appear particularly collectable. If this batch did include Tula's, hex receivers, ex-dragoons, etc., then Classic would almost surely have mentioned this fact, like they do with the Mosin crates.

Along with the $100 Type 53 Mosins, these look like another good choice for those who want to go the Bubba Archangel stock route. Also a good choice for those who want a 91/30 that says "Made In Russia" (in English) to add to their collection.

          Probably quite a bit.

They just posted this on FB:

Just wanted to let everyone know our phone lines have been slammed all day. We are trying our best to assist everyone. As always the best way to order from us is via the website.

If you send your FFL details or plan on sending it soon we will get it live on the site within 24 hours.

Sounds like a good deal. How does this compare to Mosin Nagant? Are they the same?

Just so I'm clear one would need a c&r license to order this? However if you are buying one via ppt (ca to ca resident), no license is needed?

You could have it sent to a gun store (01FFL) and DROS it with a 10 day wait if you don't have an 03FFL.

If you can find one through a private party in CA, yes it is legal to purchase it FTF until 1/1/14. After that, all transactions must go through a FFL.

Anyone else having issues getting an order through on their site? I keep getting "bad gateway error"s at checkout completion. Been trying to call them this morning, and can't get through either )):

                          1) 6.45 million of these guns are no longer serviceable - read worthless. This logically means that they are keeping 2.45 million unserviceable guns, probably for parts or emergency restoration.
                          2) Many are full auto guns that cannot be sold to civilians in most western country
                          3) There is no way that Russia is going destroy firearms that can be sold for hard currency or that could be used in a dire national emergency. I can see them selling bolt action rifles and SKSs, but my guess is any SKS and AKs that are still functional, as well as crew served MGs, will be put in long term storage. The memory of the "great patriotic war" runs deep, and they never again want to send people into combat without weapons.

you can only shoot one at a time . and it is impossible to wear one out.
maybe just one extra. after you shoot the 91-30 a few times try a mosin M-38 or M-44. those are also a hoot to own and shoot. congrats on getting a mosin.

Molot is the exporter, not the original factory. The original factory was Izhevsk, the maker of the most common round-receiver 91/30.

The Molot diamond here is not an original factory mark.
