I agree. I don't know why there were only 4 sold. Except that maybe the starting price was too high on the auctions.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Am I going blind or is this gun a target model? Those look like factory adjustable sights to me; can't see the rear sight clearly, but the front sight is either an S&W adjustable target sight or somebody has fitted an aftermarket adjustable front sight. And the sights would make a difference in the value, at least to an S&W guy. The target versions of the Military and Police cost more and far fewer were made.

Suggest you post your pics, plus a clear one of the topstrap and rear sight, to the S&W collectors website, if a real S&W nut doesn't come along here.

Not a target model; those had the rear sights mounted at the rear of the backstrap, IIRC. The serial no. (according to The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 2006 Edition, as well as the 1966 edition of Jinks' and Neal's Smith & Wesson 1857 -1945) indicates manufacture date of 1909-1915 (146900 to 241703) with 95,803 made.

        ANIB $1500
        Poor $85
        Yours falls somewhere in between.

Target model is 50 to 100% premium

Here is a full box of Rem. Kleanbore .38 S&W Special of mine (dated to about 1930-1935 with the DogBone label) that would go nice with that revolver.
Therefore, you must sell it to me immediately.

If those aren't S&W factory adjustable sights on it, they enhance the shootability some, but reduce the collector value a great deal.
