I was just going to vent about my order sitting in E-store since 5/31, then I saw your post... I'll wait patiently then.

The E-store does say "Thank you for your order - you should receive your order within 30 days from order date." Have you contacted CMP in any way to find out what happened?

Finally got my Garand and 1911 and couldn't be happier. Service Grade Springfield with a 1942 serial number. Colt M1911 from 1917. I think they make a pretty damn good looking couple if you ask me.

It takes a while. My took 3 months and 1 week total for a HRA service grade.

Had a friend who ordered a springfield WWII serial last year. Didn't get it until April of this year. Took almost 1 year for the order.

Ahhh, just got an email telling me that they are back ordered on HRA's now. I checked the CMP forums to see if anyone else has gotten this and some one else posted that it is the HRA Service Grade's. So close.

Edit spoke with Janet, both the HRA Field and Service are on back order.

So then the only non back ordered "normal" Garands are the Special Grade?

I have a Service and a Special on order but based on everyone's timelines I'm not expecting anything to happen with my order until early July. Perhaps I'll be getting just the Special Grade rifle and have to wait on the Service one.

That means less than you think. It just means they don't have any ready to ship. Every crate they open they grade, test, generally get it ready and then they fill orders. So you're just waiting for one to show up. It's been that way for quite a while.

The big difference is it used to be you would hit the eStore and you would get a rifle in a couple of days. Now it's more like two weeks.

This is my first order with CMP so a beginner's question. If when my order comes up they only have some of what I ordered like only Specials and not the Service rifle will they send what is available and backorder the rest?

Of course that is assuming they don't run out of Specials between now and then.....

Janet told me that if one of the grades become available it will ship before the other.. Crappy part is i am moving so i had to send in re notarized paperwork.
