My first Garand order, I am named after 2 WWII veterans and being able to actually get one has been a long time in the making for me - I first found out about the CMP in 2003.
They will look at the four rifles on top. If one matches your sticky note you may get it. They will not search through a pallet of rifles looking to fill requests
Keep in mind the person picking rifles may or may not have a clue the difference between post war and WWII receiver ,etc

You mean you got your DBU e-mail today for an order received by CMP on 1/29/13 ?
I got my DBU on 2/11/13 for an order they received on 1/29/13.
Nothing in the DBU stating what orders they are currently processing; just the 30-60 day comment.

This is from CMP web site.

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY SERVICE GRADE SPECIAL, RM1SASSP SOLD OUT. We have posted this item as "sold out and not accepting orders" on the CMP web page. We do still have inventory of this item but feel we have enough orders already received and in the pipeline to us to completely sell out the remaining quantity. We request that customers who have submitted an order for this item to not contact us to see if they "made the cut". We expect to fill all orders, but will contact the customer if we cannot. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your continued support.

No I got the dbu awhile back.

unfortunately I listened to someone's advice that a notarized signature wasn't required if you already had a customer #. So I had to re-send page 2.

my change of address triggered the need for the notary.

they emailed me they had rec'd my doc's and said sales would be working on orders in order from jan-3 mine was jan 29 so I have a wait, but hey it's worth it.

Do you need each order notorized? Or only if you haven't ordered in a while?

Your order may not have even been opened yet

Quick question, if you offered ammo and a rifle at the same time, which one usually shows up first? as I know they ship separately.

No telling, just depends on how many orders are before yours.

The way I go is make an ammo order every 2 weeks. Then when they start flowing the brown white truck guy starts staying for dinner
