the possibilities are limitless, nothing to stop them. one more liberal judge on the supreme court and their job will be complete. the media hates guns and will do all they can to get rid of our guns [ not criminals].

I don't think C&R type firearms are going to be targeted. However, I think you can forget about hi-cap magazines if these marxist a--holes get their way. You can forget about LTC reciprocity too.

The Clinton era ban is sure to be on the agenda. Buy your guns while you can boys.

For these leftwing gun-grabbers, I also think microstamping will be a big issue along with the U.N. Gun Ban Treaty.

I suspect the greatest future threat to weapon ownership will be by acquiescing to UN mandates --

            what does that mean specifically?

4 more years of the hateful little Bolsheviks with their hands firmly wrapped around the throat of Liberty.

What does that mean for us as collectors?

I imagine that for the collectors and shooters of modern semi-automatic rifles bad things could be in store. The evil in their black little Marxist hearts could be directed at both domestic and imported rifles.

But what about us collectors of things old and historic?

I remember what BJ "Blue Dress" Clintoon did to deny collectors access to the vast market of surplus, collector item, weapons from both China and the Russian Republic. Of course, this was through dirty deals disguised as trade agreements.

Will this latest disciple of Karl Marx use similar tactics. Or will their be outright bans...maybe the imposition of various anti-gun UN directives and rulings?

It seems a significant amount of the C&R firearms currently imported and on the market come from former Communist central and east European nations. With some coming from various western European nations who are known to be cozy with a more watered-down version of Marxist socialism. It seems like it wouldn't take much "carrot and stick" (especially if it involved a little stick and a lot of carrot) to convince these nations to turn their vintage firearms into scrap in exchange for a lot of cash from the U.S./U.N./NATO or whatever instead of a little less cash from Century Arms.

Could $300-$400 for those "few, scarce and desirable, remaining available" 1943 Izhevsk 91/30's be a reality in the next few years?

Or are vast treasure troves of obsolete military firearms still out there waiting to be discovered and offered to the American Collector?
as far as i can tell, the biggest driver on prices on firearms has been from gun owners themselves, stoked by gun owners and others who are like minded, into thinking theres gonna be massive bannination and driving their own bubble in prices. witness the sks run up in 08 and again now.

this post seems to be more being butthurty about the election loss than anything factual, which is ok i suppose... but given that obama didnt seem to do anything about guns his first term i dont see why we should get hysterical about his second.

indeed, i've seen romney himself discuss how important assualt weapons bans are when he was governer in MA, i dont see why the 2nd amendmenters are so sorry to see him lose.

It's so funny.....not once, NOT ONCE in the last year and half of campaigning did I ever hear anything about gun control, changing in-place gun laws, etc,. from either camp?? So whats with all the paranoia about? all that does is skyrocket the ammo prices even more than they already are....mark my words, four years from now.....not one thing will be different from yesterday or today..

It's not the prices of Milsurps that have me worried now, it's the fact that BO will appoint another anti-gun SCOTUS justice. The RKBA won by a 5-4 split. Once BO appoints the next one, my concern lays with the destruction of the individual RKBA itself. And in 4 years, it's very possible that may become a horrid reality.

that seems like a valid concern. makes a lot more logical sense than all the hyperbole a lot of people on this board seem to favor.

Did you even watch the debates. It was brought up in I believe the third one. Obammy stated he will go after another assault weopons ban. But what they do this time will eclipse past gun control efforts. Not even God hisself can save this Country now..Very few people grasp the consequences of what happened yesterday. It is not just Gun Control on the table it was the very survival of this Country...Believe me I am not overstating anything here nor am I paranoid. The end of this place as we know it is here. Been a slow proccess so far but it is a serious downward spiral now. Believe me I have been around for awhile and I do pay attention. Most unfortinitley do not. Goodluck to all..

Well then you need to re-watch it because it didn't exactly play as you are describing it.

I will find his exact words and put em up for you. His wording 100% implied he will do his best to Ban them again. Thanks
