Is it a large sized envelope or just regular letter size? Isn't there something about how you get the actual license mailed separately from the information packet and the info packet is blue or something?

It's larger than standard letter. Think 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper folded in half for license.

Wow, the feds must be getting desperate for money. I mailed my application 11-6-12 and they already charged me the $30 on 11-9-12.

Mine was the same, they charged my card the day they received my app. Can't wait for it to arrive.

I sent my renewal in on June 26 and heard nothing for 120 days. I sent an email on November 1. Got c&r in the mail just last week.

Yes it takes a while. I think I got my 03 FFL in 6-7 months.
Take advantage if the discounts from Brownells and Midwayusa and Graf and Sons.

Mine took 4 months. I sent it in end of June. I got a letter the middle of August saying they couldn't process my debit card for some stupid reason. I had to send it back with a money order. Got it First week of November.

Lesson of the story. Just send in a money order. It makes it that much easier.
