Not matching. no cleaning rod, sanded stock. Late war rear sight. Some of the WaA's dont look right (the one on the back of the bolt especially). If one is suspect, they all are. All my BYF's have the suffix stamped on the barrel as well.sigpic

SS rifles are all made by Steyr (bnz), btw..yeah but this is a special Mauser
this is the mauser we put in a glass jar and just look at it. I mean the mauser freaks on here will tell you that is cheap for that! I mean sure RC mausers are a dime (use to be) but this is like the mausers of mausers! Or the top echelon such as the SS and Kriegsmarine marked.
mmm we just love them and stroke them and take photos of them. Man even those waffeamts are sexy..mmmmsigpic

the "sold "price on this gun will be $1,820. Let's see how close I am."America will never be destroyed from the outside.

that is correct ROJO! yay you win 100 internets!
Check this out sold on icollector for 1200 bucks! Nice markings though, I would have to get a mauser guru to check it out because frauds are showing up more these days.

This one sold on Acutionarms. Looks a bit more right.

SKSer45 the runes on the svwmb are fake. There was never any double runes on k98 rifles like the ones in that pic. There are single runes but thats a mine field best left to the experts, of which I am not. FYI, that svwmb, if matching, was worth more than $1200 by itself before molested. Rare 1945 code.
The BNZ43 looks to be a regular RC K98. BNZ rifles do seem to bring more money and I thinks its because of the "stigma" of the SS. "SS" rifles, not single runs, have their own characteristics and the BNZ43 you posted does not seem to have them. $300-400 rifle.sigpic

Yeah I don't remember ever seeing the SS symbol on any rifles only the single one liked you mention before. Even if they did have the Nordic sign that needs some serious looking into like you say. Amazing that one went for over 1200 dollars hu? I mean I would never buy a 98k mauser online for that much must see it for my own eyeballsSKSer45 the runes on the svwmb are fake. now what code is that? I know what BNZ is but not svwNB and its 1945 right? Those some of the kriegsmodell?Comment

I also forgot to mention earlier that an svwmb is a Mauser Obendorf code, not a Steyr code and only Steyr made SS and single rune rifles.
http://www.mauser98k.internetdsl.pl/kodyen.html Heres a decent website I use for codes.
All 1945 codes are rarer than earlier codes. Germany was in bad shape that year and only had a 5 month production at best.Last edited by cruddymutt; 03-21-2012, 10:19 PM.sigpic

What is a fair price on those groups? maybe like 400-600 hundred?Comment

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
