i popped out the pin in the barrel band using a punch and hoppes oil, but still i cant get the barrel band offActually with the rear band out of place, there shouldn't be much if any spring tension on the clip.
I would try a brass punch on the pin that sticks through the forward barrel band, it may pop right out.
How did you manage to get the rear band off with the spring in place?1937 S/42 P.08 Luger

It can only come off one way, he will figure it out. I can say that mine was a pain to get off, I guess the wood soaked up a lot of cosmoline and swelled up, I took care of that but have not taken it appart since. I bought it 10 years ago but it stills oozes mausergrease every time I take it out.www.culinagrips.com
