Refinishing Question

I know some of you are going to say dont do it, that it is sacrilege to do it. I am not worried, as the handguns I am choosing wont be in perfect condition.

Ok so here is the question.

If I was to purchase a Browning High Power that is in rough shape, and have it ceracoted would that change it enough to take away its C&R status?

Please no one say not to do it. I am just asking for my own information.

ihorn, You were on the Kittyhawk ? I was aboard the USS Flint, AE-32 in the mid-late 70's. I believe we did the last weapons offload before the Kittyhawk was decommissioned.
