But you also have SKS accuracy. At even 200 meters you would have a hard time hitting someone that is in the prone, at 400 meters the round would have a hard time hitting even a man size target, this is why the AK 74 and 5.45x39 came into play. When it comes to making the shot, no other rifle can put people down like the M-16AR . A Marine with his M-16 and ACOG can put rounds on target out to 600 meters with no problem.

Here this guy made quick work of everyone on the battle field, a SKS would never be able to do this.

Be proud of your SKS or AK but the AR15 is a different animal for a different purpose and range.

I laugh because it was his first shot. Talk about Luck! But ether way Im always glad to help out a proud gun owner. AR or not. Did i mention he was hitting dead center at 100 yards acog xD

Keep in mind that AR's are relatively expensive. As such, many gun owners cut corners and get cheap components. You can't compare a milspec SKS, or mil spec AK parts kit gun, to a cheap out of spec commercial AR-15. Only top of the line AR's should be in comparison, and few AR's meet that requirement.

There are lots of ARs out there, which means a lot of lousy AR owners who don't necessarily know how to clean/maintain them.
