I was not knocking it, just have never seen one shaped like that.... it has bubba written all over it.

It is hard to tell how smooth the stock is in those pics, the upper part of the hand guard is reflecting light real good and I don't doubt you one bit. I cant wait to see pics in better light when she gets a chance.

The old Gewehr 88s have these. Mine is a tack driver -- and it was built in 1892.

They're used on a lot of rimfires today, but are making a comeback with the centerfires after 120 years.

Sleeving it up to the muzzle brake would be cool, I think...

Started working on the air vents today.
Yeah, I know, they aren't perfectly in line but they will be by the time I am finished with them.
Each hole will be approximately 2 cm long and about 1 cm wide, sort of.

I've decided on the black lacquer with gold floral and red highlights, a la russian folk art.

Oh no, he made a bent bolt eventually. It was about 9 inches long and looked like a BMX kickstand if I recall correctly.
