I got my K-31 from J&G in Prescott, AZ. It is worth a trip to visit the place and see their section of K-31s and Mosins and ...! Great selection. They will let you look at a number of rifles and pick the one you want.

My only regret is not getting more ammo.

Kind of a tangent, but who is the importer on the ones JG Sales has?

They don't have the big-honking Century billboard do they?

I want to try that lefty version. I took my Beech K31 out to the range last weekend. What a fun gun to shoot. I'd definitely recommend that the OP pick one up. Even with the surplus ammo drying up, it is not that expensive to feed. Prvi 7.5 Swiss can be found at a decent price online and no other milsurp is going to have a trigger to match the Swiss.

The importer on mine is PW Arms, their info is vibro-peened into the side of the rear sight. Not real noticeable.

I have actually been considering picking up a second one that's newer than my 1941-build one but might just pick up spare parts and a new stock. Decisions decisions. Lol.

I'm in the market for a K31, too. Not sure if I can wait til I get my 03 FFL, so I created a WTB post (see my signature). If anyone is looking to off-load one, let me know!

Shot mine yesterday for the first time at Berdoo Canyon.

Having a couple Mosins, I now know why these are considered cream of the crop surplus rifles.

                          Shoulder is also a mess!

The only problems with K-31's is I only have one......so far.....but I do have a K-1911 too. I will be getting more, you have been warned, these are potentially waaaaay more addicting than AR's as they are much better weapons. I getting into reloading primarily because of this rifle.
