Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I'm positive it has been unfortunately. Exterior condition and interior condition don't quite match up and the exterior markings have that sort of softness I usually associate with a heavy cleaning and re-bluing. Between that and the rear sight being kind of off, I think it's probably not in it's factory original configuration.
At the same time, it's kind of weird that it'd still be in a musket configuration if it was heavily messed with.Comment

Hello, I'm afraid my offering is a relative new comer by comparison of the great old Winchesters poster previously. I have a Model 84 that has gotten very use and attention for many years. It's hardest wear has been going in and out storage. I haven't figured out the pic posting yet. Can any particular info be dug up on a model 64 #1481004 chambered in .30-30?
Thanks in advance,

It's been refinished. The more I try to find on this rifle, the more questions I find needing answers. I can't find enough information on your barrel markings for a .303I'm positive it has been unfortunately. I think your best bet, is going to be Brad Dunbar on the Winchester Collectors forum. He's been doing a survey on the 95's, and seems to have a particular interest in the ones chambered for .303, and a Canadian connection.Comment

I do have one other Model 1895 in a more typical sporting rifle setup. That one is serial number 21266. Only unusual thing about that one is that it still has what I think is a factory Lyman rear sight after 120+ years.Comment
