Vast preponderance of threads in the C&R section are about Mosin rifles...91/30s, M44s, M38s. What's so great about them?
I know they're cheap, fire a healthy round, inexpensive, and they're cheap
...but what else do they have going for them? They're ugly as a baboon in heat, magazine capacity is only 5, they're long enough to be halfway downrange (well, the 91/30 at least), and quality-of-build is such that Century Arms improves things when they assemble them.
I can see the M44...that's kinda cool. Short lil carbine style.
OK...convince me to get one. At least a carbine. Just 'cause I like guns.
