...well then...hmmm *FACE PALM*!!WANT TO BUY and looking for shooter/beater/reenacting grade German Waffen proofed handguns from the WWII era. I just want shooters, Im not looking to spend oodles of money, I just want shootable examples to play with!!

You should contact your father ASAP and let him know that a rifle with a barrel less than 16 inches is illegal for him to buy in Washington state and illegal for him to buy or possess under Federal law unless he has gone through the process to get an NFA tax stamp. Hopefully there has just been some miscommunication about the length of the barrel on the rifle that he bought at the gun show and it is really a 16 inch barrel.__________________

Is it a kit or a complete weapon? Also you might want to mention it that parts kits in Washinton State can NOT have any part thats used in a machine gun present, its illegal there.In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous.
