How much does one of these parts kits run? I'm hopefully getting my c&r license soon I've gotten charged and am just waiting it out now.... Does having a c&r help with obtaining one of these?

parts kits start around $200 or so. They are demilled MGs, no longer a firearm, so a C&R doesn't help in this case (unless you find a vendor that gives discounts to those with an 03FFL).

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

            Couple ways to do it.

If you want to build it on a complete receiver then you dont need a barrel and can get this kit -

if you want the original parts its this one -

            and here is the receiver

There is machining required not a straight bolt up.

I would poise this question in the gunsmithing section.

And from what I've heard you CANNOT send them home right or is there a way to? When did that change, I heard of guns being sent back during Vietnam and such.

I hope that by "a little more" he means 5 and a half inches more than 10 and a half inches. (over 16 inches)
