About 15 years ago I had a SA 1941 receiver with a 1941 dated BBL on it, put it on Gunbroker and even back then it bid to $1000.00!

I?d love to have a ?41?barrel on my 6 digit?41 Garand. It went thru a post war rebuild and has a ?47 barrel. It shoots great though. It was a CMP ?Less Wood? best $275 I ever spent (back in late 90s)

Got a woodless at the Big Reno Show when CMP came to the show, they came only twice. Mad house, each time, first time was the worst. People were lined up 3-4 deep waiting get to the tables, the CMP staff finally had to tell people to move along and let others in. They never returned after the second attempt, too much trouble shipping stuff and dealing with the attitudes of the customers, sad but I really can't blame them.
Orest picked one out for me handed it to me for inspection then took it back East to have paperwork and payment before it was shipped to me. Still have Garand wood was hoping they'd do woodless again but not so. Now in the process of deciding what is going to leave here, everything outbound now, no longer time for inbound stuff.

Well was able to make it to the range. I think the issues on the M1 are solved!

Well I only fired 20 rounds so two enbloc clips. There was zero 7 round stoppage even when loaded to the right or left. Last time I went I fired 40 rounds but every single enbloc clip had an issue.

          What I changed was:

The op rod spring, USGI bullet guide, and used USGI Enbloc cllips (thanks to Calgunner 2761377)

Hoping to get a few rounds more down range to end the conclusion but I am happy with todays session! See below of my first successful 8 round enbloc clip!

Does the clip usually come out behind the firing line?

the clip ejector spring only has the energy to get the clip clear of the rifle. normally it will fall where the shooter can reach down from his firing position and pick it up.

sometimes it will take a funny bounce when it hits the ground, especially on concrete or rocky surface.
