FINALLY RECEIVED! So Begins The Longest Wait: CMP Garands

One of the guys at work got his M1 last week.

We took it out to P2K for a quick familiarization Sunday. Ejected every which way until it didn't. Found the broken extractor in the CMP case.

Weird. I guess the extractor is optional until your chamber gets a little sticky.

Aside from that it was a good day.

Well, I got the DBU a couple days after sending in the packet, got the phone call asking for updated FFL info which I had sent in two days before and was likely sitting on someone's desk, they charged my card the next day, and nothing since. I'm getting anxious. Once it's here and I pick it up and test fire it, I'll probably sell one of my 30-06 versions since I don't really need as many Garands as I have. But...they're a good investment too, so maybe I'll keep them all. I've got a 6 digit, a Korean, and one in the M1C serial range, and then whatever this 308 winds up being.

Got a tracking number today! Looks like it's a March/April 1942 built gun in the mid 500,000's serial number. Looking forward to getting it and knocking over some steel targets!

Over a month ago they were still working on June. Doesn’t sound like they’re catching up.

At this rate we may hear from them in February.

Called again yesterday and they’re currently at end of August in their backlog. My order should have been received around 9/7 so hopefully I hear from them in the next couple of weeks.

They did say that if they are out of field grade that I ordered they will contact me with the option to revise my order to something that is available.

Nice so our order is coming up. Uhm revise prob with a new barrel I bet and stock like the Expert grades for $1k. I hope that's not the case.

I put an order in for 3 to give to my kids when they grow up. I love that raw bfpu look. I wonder if they're able to hold onto our packets until they receive more field grades or service grades in stock whenever that would be if they ever do

I actually mailed out my order for 3 CMP Field Grades as well on 09/01. I haven't heard anything although I haven't been answering my phone from random numbers cause of spam. What number should we be looking out for when they call? Is it (256) 835-8455

I believe that is the correct number. However, I do not believe they will be able to tell you anything other than roughly where they are at in the backlog.

Is there a way to tell if they received your order form?


for those that ordered the expert, will we get a call too or just see the funds come out of our account?

Usually an email saying they got it, then some time later funds will come out and you can see it in the estore. The email may not come for weeks or months after you send it.

I emailed them and they told me they're working on August orders. There's another thread here where someone sent in their order last month and their order has been verified and paid for already. I'm not sure anymore how CMP does their orders
