COE Renewal (DOJ Requesting FFL03 info?)

UPDATE: So, no reply from the DOJ until inside of 30 days to expiration. Then, it was INCOMPLETE because they needed to have my FFL number. Unbelievable. My FFL number is already in my CFARS profile along with the expiration date. And, the kicker is that there is no field where they ask for the FFL number on the application.I recently completed the online application for my COE. One of the issues I ran into was my CA driver's license identification. I do not have a RealID, so "Federal Limits Apply". As such, the CFARS requires that you upload a copy of your drivers license as an additional documentation, and another ID. I was going to use a U.S. Passport.
I uploaded the CA drivers license. Then I tried to upload a copy of my passport. It is not one of the supporting documents in the list. The online application will not allow you to continue (only choices were Preview, Clear, or Back). I finally had to select one of the other descriptions (e.g. Permanent Resident document) in order to have two documents uploaded. Then, it allowed for the "Submit" button available.
We will see if this causes a delay. No issue with taking my $22 payment.
I had to send it via email and we'll see if/how long it takes to get through this last wicket.Comment

I got my coe finally about a month ago. It took about 60 days. I purchased ammo over the weekend from target sports and it shipped today. This is the first time in a long time that ammo is shipping directly to the house.
Now I have an itching to shop for some c&r. Anyone know of a good c&r dealer in socal? Or Las Vegas?Comment

I'm just curious. For those that received the request for the 03 FFL, what did you have selected under the business type field?NRA Benefactor Life Member

Collector for me. I'm sure that's what triggers the query. But I don't see how they can deny though, since an 03 isn't required. I'm sure they are looking for any excuse though.Comment

I always have put collector....never have any issues....yes they ask for my 03FFL number year after year now, even though I already gave it to them.....I don't ask why...I just give to them the number on my CFARS Account and my renewal comes super fast.NRA LIfe MemberComment

Got the last check box done on May 4th. Total time from submission to approval was 46 days.Comment

Just from what I have seen....it probably would work, but if you go into to your CFARS account and update it there in your application, that might work best and be the fastest. When I did that, I got my approval within minutes, literally within a minute last time.NRA LIfe MemberComment
