Some cool mosins I got recently

    Howdy all.

Just wanted to show off the mosins I got recently.

    1950 Hungarian 48M
1933 original matching Izhevsk 91/30 (not Finn or scw)
    1943 Izhevsk 91/30 modified as m91/59
    1952 Hungarian 48M carbine.

The 91/30 and 48M carbine were off gunbroker, the 48M was from a connection I made (thanks capt), and the 91/59 was a PPT.

    The Mosin collection grows!

Looking good. That collection will never stop! I do like the short ones. Tossed in a pic of the Moberg. (Mosin/Mossberg)

      Yeah I have a couple carbines. I still need a m38 and a Romanian m44.

        Those are interesting Mosins.

I'm a Mosin collector myself, especially of the Finnish variety.

I gave both of mine away a few years ago. One to a friend and one to one of my doctors. Along with bayonets and ammo.

Hungarian carbines are uncommon, even more so in good matching condition.

Hungarian 91/30 is straight unicorn. Rarely seen for sale at any price.

Personally I wouldn't trust any OG obsolete calibers like the 7.62x54R for having much tactical power
beyond 50 yards. If it's not a magnum I just don't see the relevance.

Likely most in the C&R forum aren't buying for tactical..Only historical reasons and/or collectibility reasons. Tactical would be in the other forums.

Hahaha, that's funny, was it your car alarm the one that goes off in the parking lot every time my son fires his mosin carbine?

Okay, I think I see what that “Moberg” is and that is GENIUS!
I have a Mossberg .410 just like that - does it drop in? How’s the feeding from the Mosin magazine?

I gambled on some cheap sealed spam cans of Albanian surplus 54R with a lot of rust. Once I got them open, the ammo was all in great shape.

But yeah, a very puny and underpowered cartridge for sure.

This one time, I shot my Mosin, and it only went through 3 cars - I know an AR-16 will do that x10 and with only a 30 round fully automatic clipazine.
