Try contacting your California state Representative to intervene; hopefully not a rabid anti 2nd A person. It's terrible that you have to grasp at straws for this after previously been approved.

Or maybe ICE will come to my door, arrest me and tell me they're deporting me back to Hawaii...since the BoF has stated that I have no legal presence here in the United States even though I was born in a United States hospital in the State of Hawaii...

You need to get a new copy your birth cert. This is likely not going to be the only time you need one. Stop screwing around with that 50yr old copy and have Hawaii send you a modern long-form birth cert with stamped seal (certified/exemplified)

No, you didn't. You said you used your passport, not the passport card.

Regardless, the Passport and passport card are recognized in DOJ regulations as proof of citizenship for, "...any eligibility check described in (11 CCR) Division 5." .

Its just the BoF being jerks about it. Again, it is the same birth certificate used in my INITIAL application...why is it a problem now....they refuse to answer and just keep rejecting my renewal.

The records hall or building...even the hospital where I was born do not exist anymore.
The county in which you were born still exists. So does the state. Get a new certificate (Obama did).

I have done that already but by the time I got the link, I had already sent the BoF my renewal again with EVERYTHING including a scanned passport card proving my so called "legal" presence in the US.

After processing, it will take possibly up to nearly two months to receive. My CoE is already expired and I know there is a grace period of either 45 or 90 days in order to renew. But by the time I will get this new birth certificate, I will have to start the process all over again.

            You see the frustration here??

A passport regardless of book or card should have showed my legal residence and they still did not accept my renewal.

The county i was born in still exist...the building where the records hall and even the hospital do not exist anymore.

But regardless, I sent them all the documents including passport before and birth certificate all at once. Anyways my frustration lies with having to start this process all over because by the time I receive the new one, it will have gone past the grace period and if thats the case, won't bother with a new CoE having to go through this crap again...

            Sorry for the ranting...

Clearly, they are monitoring this site and saw your rants.

If it just expired you could still be with in the time limit to renew. I had to re submit a new password and the hot link would fail. I had to copy and paste for some reason and was able to get back to my account.

                        hmmmm.....

i've never had any issues renewing my COE and always get a reminder that it's going to expire in X number of days. i haven't received a notice yet but it doesn't expire for 75 days (5/4). i went into CFARS to see if i can start the process, given how retarded the DOJ is right now. there's no link to renew right now. i've looked all over the site and cannot find any way to renew it this early.

does anyone have any info on this? thanks.

They will not allow to renew before 60 days. Then it will be part of your page with a renewal link.

I just did mine but could not find anywhere to enter my Ffl03 number.

Enter your FFL3 number in the Comment Field. The DOJ sent me an email about an incomplete renewal application because I didn't include my FFL3 number.

It took almost 3 weeks for my renewal to finally get approved. They didn't even notify me of the approval. I happened to check on the website and saw that my renewal came through several days ago.
