    The big clue to a refurb Soviet SKS is the finish. This is what Non refurbs looks like.

    Are these all yours? I have a non-refurb Tula without the date or Tula star on the receiver cover that was unissued when I got it back in the 90's.

      Yup, all mine. Does your rifle have a small star on the left side of the receiver a few inches behind the serial number like the photos below? If so it's a 1955 or 1956 production.

            I would guess that a completely un-mollested SKS {Russian} would be in the $450.00 -steal to $800.00 -ouch range.
