I received my C&R 2 1/2 weeks after sending it in; I sent my COE later, it has been 8 days so far. I was surprised at how quickly the C&R came, honestly.

Do I need to cut out the card on the bottom of the license and carry it around?

Make copies of your original and sign them. Keep one in your car and write "file copy" on it. Keep your unsigned original in your safe. Keep the small card in your wallet and use it when you need your number or u're out of town.

So my change out of address went out 20-something days ago, but I still don't have my updated FFL papers.

I'm not in a hurry, I just wanted to post an update as some people seem to get their paperwork quicker than others. For the record, my original paperwork also took over 60 days from the time it was sent out until the time I received it. They used every last moment of their "mandated time frame".

Funny thing is, I'm too broke to use it and I'll be moving soon so I will have to update it again in another month or two... But that is the last "piece of paper" that still has any "affiliation" with CA...

I also have plans of eventually filing paperwork for a full fledged FFL, but in the mean time, my 03 C&R will have to suffice.

Sent mine in in late August, charged on 9/4/14 and received my 03 FFL on 9/20/14! Also received my CA COE a few days earlier, so I am set!

Hoping someone can clarify. on the C&R application it asks "Are you in possession of a valid hunting license or permit..." I don't have a hunting license, but do have my CCW. Will that work?

are you a US citizen? if so, re-read the app and you'll see that that does not apply to you.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
