SoCal Monthly C&R Shoot at WEGC - Sunday April 14th

The next monthly C&R shoot is coming up on Sunday, April 14th

Since the road leading to the range has been repaired, and the weather is getting better, we should have no problems for April

We'll have a friendly C&R pistol and rifle competition (details to be announced soon)



The range is private, but we usually have enough members to sign in guests. Everyone is welcome!

I have to be at Camp Pendleton that weekend, so I can't be there . I'll be able to make it in May though.

I went back through several previous posts earlier, and I didn’t see anything about the format.

How many shooting rounds, and how many rounds per shoot?

And what are the ranges in play (yardage)?

I think I saw a post last year outlining the format, which originally piqued my interest, but didn’t find that post during the limited time I had to search today.

The range that we'll be shooting at is 100 yards. In general, everyone does what they want, shoots at their own targets, etc (you get one paper target + stand when you sign in, additional paper targets are available for $1 each)

We'll have some steel targets for people to shoot at as well.

The friendly competition is usually something like an Axis vs Allies shoot, where everyone picks a side and has 5 shots (mixed bench/standing) at a steel target with a rifle of their choice, etc.

We'll come up with something more detailed before the 14th

It's all very informal, and fun!

Ah, cool. Thanks for some details. I thought that this was a long range match my buddy was telling me about.

I guess I can bring a couple of US and a couple of foreign shooters and just have some fun then! Got a few Garands to choose from, and just got my 03A3 back in play, and haven’t been able to get my M96 and K31s out for a while to play... gives me enough time to load up plenty of food.

Yes there was talk of possibly incorporating different positions and reloads into the friendly competition

It has been a while since I brought a prize so I'll bring one this month
