    I'll see you guys tomorrow.

I don't know what it is, the weirdest thing, it took me like three times a long as usual to load up my mags.

Looking forward to the friendly competition.

    1st place gets the shirt

Awesome shoot as always despite the fairly small turnout. Creek was high and flowing pretty fast, I heard someone got stuck later on.

Thanks again to everyone for being very generous and accomodating, very nice pieces made it out this weekend. Congratulations to Jimja for winning the rifle competition My gun newbie friend had a great time.

      See you all next month.

That was some serious fun indeed. Actually had a bit of a crowd watching the competition and even had one of the RSO participate

The time element added some action for sure

Kinda fun to hear shouts of “freedom” when people shot over 10 rounds

It was great to get back out there and see so many friends! Of the stuff I brought, it seemed like the Marlin 39a was the favorite. This was the lever-action .22lr; the "Annie Oakley Gun"

Got to shoot a SHE 52/57 and a Retro AR10; both very cool! Thanks, guys. See you all next month!

Shooting with the group is always a good time.

The creek was unfriendly to cars and 2WD vehicles. It is wider and deeper than times past. While I was leaving, a guy arriving in the afternoon got his 2WD full size pickup stuck in the creek. He was going too slowly and he stopped. After that, his rear tires just dug deeper and deeper holes and he went nowhere. It blocked the creek in both directions for about 30 minutes until someone with a tow rope showed up to pull him out. If you venture into the creek, keep your momentum and do not stop, particularly if you have a 2WD vehicle.

It was good to see everyone again after the shoot being delayed so long due to the creek. Lots of cool hardware came out like usual. Looking forward to next month's shoot, which I think we should do something special as it's going to be Enfield47's last shoot before he escapes to Free America! Maybe a .303-themed shoot? I'll bring the Bren Gun.

Creek was a little deep this morning but it did seem worse crossing in the afternoon. Maybe all the road traffic shifted some of the rocks because it did feel pretty deep.

Enfield47’s last shoot? I’ll bring every English gun I have. I didn’t know that

Like I said earlier creek was a little unfriendly, some momentum in my 2wd was needed. The last few feet were a little hairy getting out in the afternoon.

A lot of cool toys showed up today and was great to see everyone. It's always fun to see the big guns come out too. I love the sound of the machine guns! Congrats to Jimja for winning the competition today - great shoting!

The creek was a bit harrowing this afternoon. I made it through easily in the morning but by the afternoon it felt deeper and my wheels did spin a bit. I didn't see anyone get stuck but the two pickups behind me did spin the wheels a bit too.

See you all next month. Unfortunately it will be my last shoot but on the plus side I am moving to a free state!

Sorry to see you go Enfield 47, but happy for you all the same. I've got a commitment at another range May 11th so I hope the C&R shoot gets scheduled for a different day. I'll bring a couple Enfields and a Webley in honour of your last shoot!

The competition was a blast BTW. Maybe I should've attached the bayonet to my Mosin...

Have we decided on when we should do May's shoot as it seems the usual second Sunday the range will be closed due to Mother's Day?

What about the 2nd Saturday, that keeps it in the same weekend?

Sundays are much better for me vs Saturdays. If we push to 1st or 3rd Sunday I'm good with it

The first Sunday in May is Cinco de Mayo, which I don't really observe or celebrate. So I'm good with that date for the C&R Shoot. But I'd like to hear other people's thoughts as well, since with enough notice any of the days mentioned are doable for me.

My vote would be for third Sunday, but that's dependent on whether or not Enfield47 will still be in CA by then.
