List of Wanted Milsurp Guns

I prioritize "shootable" over "matching". I also prefer something that was more likely actually issued over a mint example. Like a Russian Capture K98, or a Type99 with scrubbed mum instead of their perfect cousins. My Finn M39 mosin was built on an antique French receiver. I like ones that have been places.Comment

I hear ya. The matching thing is more about me just being anal. My Last Ditch Type 99 is a rifle that has definitely been places based on the really messed up bore and stock. This is on top of the fact that it was probably crappy looking to begin with when it came out of the factory. I'm jealous of your antique M39. It must've been satisfying to just pay for it and to not have to do any paperwork.I prioritize "shootable" over "matching". My Milsurp Wantlist is a mix of things that are hard to find, and some easy ones that I once owned, traded away, and would like to replace!! I've become a bit of a condition snob so junkers won't do it any more.
Yugo M24
Mosin M38
Mosin 91/38
Tula M44
Any Rare SKS (East German, NVA, NK, etc.)
Unissued or minty FTR Enfield No.1
Kriegsmodell K98
Pre war Standard Modell Mauser
FN-49
Swiss 96/11
Webley Revolver
Late model (WW2 production) Luger 9mm
Anything in original condition in 8mm Mauser due to lots of surplus ammo stashed!
I reckon that does it!Comment

If you don't already have one, I'd recommend adding another one to the list. The Yugo reworked M44. They seem to be uncommon and are very cool. I never saw one before buying it.Mosins, mosins, mosins, and more mosins!
On my huge list of stuff to get, there are least 20 mosins, among a variety of other things
On the other hand, some of the coolest c&r's I have are things I wasn't looking for, in some cases they are things I've never seen in person before or didn't even know existed!
So in a way lists can be overrated, sometimes you just randomly come across something and have to get itComment

I want so many....... but I have a wife and a kid now, so I has no monies.Comment

I don't think he'll last with her any longer than it lasted with Ariana. Maybe even less time. He's more of a temporary sneeze than a main squeeze.
Besides; I have 3 johnsons that she can play with!-----------------------------------------------

I'd like to replace the SVT40 I sold off years ago. I know where there's two of the 4 we bought as a group buy from SOG back in the 90s...getting one of my buddies to give one up is proving a challenge (even though neither are gun guys, and neither have ever shot them.)Comment

My current list is way too long but at the top is
Queen Julianna FN-48 Mauser
Costa Rican Mauser
vz37 Uruguayan Mauser
1908 Brazilian Short
1908/34 Brazilian Czech Made 7mm
1895 Chilean Carbine
FN-49 High Number Lux
Bolivian Mauser
Ethiopian Mauser
Greek Mauser
All must be all matching and original. I would make exception for small part mismatched like cleaning rod or safety but bolt and stock if numbered must match.
