Some high end unicorns there to be sure. I have seen an Ethiopian Mauser in reference books but never in person or offered for sale online.

I passed on one out of the country recently. It waa Israeli but all Ethiopian marks still present. Was non matching and $1,000 + import costs. If matching I would have bought it.

I've bought all matching 1909 Peruvian, 1908 Uruguayan, 91/30 Hungarian, and 1927 Paraguayan all matching by looking outside the United States.

There are a few guns that are on my list in order to fill in some blanks in my collection, but nothing that I am actively looking for. At this point, anything I find is mostly a coincidence where price and availability coincide. for instance, I would very much like to find a Trapdoor carbine and likewise a better Krag carbine to upgrade the one I already have.

In addition to primarily collection US martial arms, in the last few years I have branched out to some foreign guns. Beyond the normal WWI and WWII stuff I have developed an interest in East Block cold war arms. The trouble with that is, with the exception of handguns, nearly all the long arms are select fire and transferable examples are well beyond my budget.

I was recently able to put together a grouping of a 1958 Polish Kbk-N AK47 with functioning night vision and other period accessories, but it was rather expensive.

As said before, you don't really know what you want until you see something new at the range or at the local gun shop. My safes are full and there are only a few on my list to fill the gaps.

                          Arisaka Type 30, non-trainer
                          Swedish m94 carbine
                          Enfield Mk II .22 trainer
Israeli mauser in 8mm mauser or 7.62 nato
                          Japanese type 94 pistol

And thanks to Iraqveteran8888 now I need a Nepalese Gahendra Martini rifle

I have a soft spot for Poland (Polish firearms are on my secondary list) due to all the crap they went through for the past couple of centuries. That is quite the setup you have their good sir.

An Arisaka Type 30 is in my secondary list of milsurp guns. I remember watching that video on the Nepalese Gahendra Martini. A lot of guns in my secondary list are due to iraqveteran8888 as well. A couple that comes to mind are a Ljungman and Hakim.
