So you are not going to shoot it? To each his own, but what is the point in getting it then? I always figured if I cannot use it for its intended purpose. I might as well hang a photo up to look at. No offense intended.. Just ask as I have often wandered about collectors who never fire weapons they purchase.

Seems that would take most of the fun out of collecting to me.

Thanks again everyone for the input. I absolutely plan to shoot this gun regularly,however, if this gun is gonna get any marks on it, I want it to be from me lol.

Musketjon, thanks for the heads up, and you’re right I don’t know all the inner workings of an SAA. This is my first SAA of any type, and I’ve just been trying to learn as much as possible. Everything I’ve read or seen in videos always talks about fully cocking the hammer back before easing it down.
