This is the winning answer!!!
A few years ago I picked up 3 Bavarian M1 Carbines from the CMP for $600.00ea.
They're $1200.00 rifles now and they will never be even close to $600.00 again.
The same with Garands, even if the Philippine Garands show up, they won't be less than we're paying now and they'll never be the $399.99 or so the CMP had them for a few years ago.
It's supply and demand. So what if there are 5,000,000 Mosins? they're not being made anymore and if there's 6,000,000 collectors, the price stays high.
I haven't seen any $39.99 91/30's or $89.00 m38's or m44's recently and although that's what I paid for mine, that's not what I'll be selling the for.
Ar's etc are coming down in price because they're still being made.
Milsurps aren't and unless an importer finds a huge stash somewhere, the price ain't coming down in our lifetimes.
