CA case laws (People v Stinson) have established...
The "overall length" of a rifle by measuring in a single straight line, either from the tip of the barrel to the back of the stock or from the tip of the barrel to a point just above the back of the stock, rather than in two straight lines, first along the barrel and then down the long side of the stock.

$2k - is fine - $1500-$1800 for an OK broom-handle with no stock.

You got a screaming deal. It's hard to find a complete matching rig like yours. Even without the leather part they sell for more than you paid.

Here's one without the leather part that is already at $2000 with 5 more days to go. http://www.gunauction.com/buy/13621674

I have the leather part of the holster and I would be happy to find an authentic non-matching holster stock for the C96 I bought at pawn shop.
                        Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Anyplace else, and this would be legal to attach a shoulder stock to. Here in California? Nope.

I'd love to see him reloading ten C96's with stripper clips in a moving airplane while being shot at.
