    Separate forums sounds great.

My oldest piece is from 1842 to current. If we need a couple topics to start off on a stand alone, I can certainly keep the audience entertained for a week or two and show off a pic of two to get things started.

There are a couple clubs at Sac Valley that shoot black powder. One of them is our club the Blue & Gray Skirmish Association. We shoot Civil War black powder in timed events, and meet the second Saturday of every month. Another is the Fort Sutter Muzzleloaders. They shoot mountain man style round ball, primitive, etc. and I'm not sure when they meet.

I think it would be a great idea to start a BP forum. If it grows like the rest of CGN, in a few years, it could have sub forums like "shoots, meets and rendezvous", "reenactments", "military style firearms", "shotguns", "traditional rifles", "modern muzzleloaders", "pistols and revolvers", "hunting with smokepoles", "artillery", etc. But, for now, it should all be grouped together in one forum until there is enough interest and activity.

I selfishly voted "Separate and stand-alone" because I think C&R deserves its own forum.

I don't have any BP stuff but love seeing and reading about any old firearm.
Since there are modern BP firearms it makes sense to have a BP forum outside of C&R.

I'm really honored to have a forum named after me.......

Own forum, sub forum. Either way is fine as long as there is separation.

Finding BP threads in the current situation is more searching than reading. Makes discussing them hard.

                        Black Powder only

I'd love to see a black powder forum. Most of my shooting is with Trapdoors, a Danish Rolling Block, an 1863 Springfield, a Colt SAA, and most recently, a Martini Henry Mk IV. All origional, historic, and all black powder. Any like minded shooters northern California?

I have been looking to get into BP, and would love to have a sub-form
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

I'll add my vote for something; forum, sub-forum, doesn't matter. Anything that breaks bp out by itself

                                YES a stand alone forum.
The history and and current use of black powder
is an activity that is followed well across the US, California needs to have
this identity also due to our large numbers of shooting enthusiasts.
