This is the latest incarnation of my first build. I think the only thing left to upgrade is the muzzle brake. I estimate I'm at around $2500 into this build.

        Lower: Mega Gator
        Upper/Barrel/Bolt: Stag 5.56/.223, 1/9 twist
Forend: VLTOR CASV-EL free floating handguard
Sights: Midwest Ind flip-up rear, and flip-up front/gas block
Optic: EOTech 552 w/ GG&G quick release mount and GG&G Accucam lense covers
        Trigger: Rock River Arms 2-stage
        Stock: Magpul CTR
Sling: Single point(from a booth at the show...can't remember which vendor) w/ Magpul single point attachment
Grip: Magpul MIAD drop in modular pistol grip with Magpul tactical trigger guard
Forend Grip: EMA Tactical M-Grip1 w/ battery storage & ambi pressure switch mounts
Tac Light: EMA Tactical TTL 120 lumen flashlight & laser
        Safety: DPMS ambi-safety
        Bolt Catch: Magpul B.A.D. Lever
Charging Handle: Badger Ordinance tactical charging handle latch

The latest round of mods were all purchased from Joe at http://www.parallaxtactical.com. For not even having his FFL yet, he has a lot of great stuff in the shop, and provides great service.

          Going old school...

My Century/Henderson "C15A1 Sporter" built with a new M16A1 parts kit. Have a three prong flash hider and am looking for an A1 grip to finish it up.

Ok sorry for the noob question but I see alot of 30 round magazines in these pictures. Are they legal now, or do people just have illegal magazines?

A lot of these 30 round mags are actually modified internally or riveted from the outside to prevent them from taking more then 10 rounds. We like to call them 10/30's in CA but other places call them 30/10's

Ahh cool, thought I could use some of my magazines that I never turned into the armory. Guess they will just remain in my locked duffel.

Don't kill your mags like the above post says. Just take them apart (floor plate, follower and spring) and they are legal to posses. That way when you go out of state you put them back together and use them. Just my $0.02

Or (God forbid) wait for California to come off the stupid magazine capacity BS.
