It doesn't look like your barrel is threaded. I don't know if I would bother with it or not. I actually have a thread cover on order from CMMG and will be replacing my flash-hider so I have the option of installing a MonsterMan and going open mag. In my opinion there is not enough recoil on the rifle for it to be worth the incresed decibel level it will add.

It is a Mark 4 knock off. It works very well and holds zero. Well it was cheap and has worked great for the 150 rounds I have put threw it. I did not want to break the bank since I just spend $220 on that stock. So I went cheap on the scope. It works as well as my VX-1 but has mil dots.

Finished.....for now

Changed out the forend and the front sight. Replaced with a low profile gas block and YHM rifle length light weight forend. I added the YHM Phantom 5C1 flash hider and flip up front sight. Just waiting for my EOtech 511 to get here. I have the knock off aimpoint that I will be selling for cheap soon on it now. My wife likes this one Shhhhh she doesn't know about the other one or the gripless I am going to build.

BTW the rifle length has been removed and replaced with a specter length forend. It is 9.67 inches instead of 12. The twelve inch was installed on my varmint upper.

OK, here's my first - a work in process



Recipe
Start with a Double Star receiver
add a Bushie 10 rd mag
use a tool kit on the mag lock (sorry, name escapes me - doesn't matter, don't think they are made anymore)
add a LPK from RB Precision, OEM parts
it's partially assembled for newb's - worked well for assembly
throw on a collapsable stock ( 4? position, RRA?) that I got cheap from arf EE
remove ASA free float 16" SS Bull upper from FAB10 varmint gun and slap on
remove scope and add cheapo BSA holosight

As I said, it's a work in progress. I'm planning on a M4 type upper for this one. Then the scope and upper go back on the FAB10. I had also planned on a BUIS type setup, looks like that cheapo BSA might be too long. Still gotta save for an EO Tech.

My other lower I'm planning on making an A2 build with no pistol grip for detachabale fun.
