I'm still pondering whether to save for a really good scope like a Leupold or Nightforce to compliment my SPR or use that money to buy another firearm
Nice, really nice. I love SPRs... You should get a scope for that baby, no SPR is complete without a scope. A Mark 4, 36mm or 40mm will go great with your rifle.

(I better post some pics of mine!!!)

          VERY VERY sweet!

I am toying with the idea to build one, but I will want a Mod 1.

Pablo, what's the furtherest you had try with yours? (I hope to get to around 800m, but that's a little "difficult" with 5.56s)

I am still trying to figure out what exactly I want to put on the gun, here is the list now:
          - KAC Long FF RAS (how about DD 12.0??)
          - WOA SPR barrel
          - WOA upper/b/bc/ch
          - OPS INC brake
          - low profile gas block
          - RRA 2-stage trigger
          - Leupold Mk4 PR 3-9x
          - A2 stock
          - Harris 3"/6" Bipod
          - Tangodown pistol grip

          Any comments?

              Thanks for the comments guys!!!

Ricko, unfortunately I haven't been able to fully test the potential of my rifle. I test fired it and did the break in procedure here in California and have shoot it twice already in Nevada from 50 to 400yds. One at night by the way and it was amazing! (I have some pics of that night ).

About your choice of parts I don't know how much money you want to spend or how close you want to be from the original MOD 1.

Because I'm partial to KAC products I would choose the KAC forend over the DD. But to be honest the DD is just as good as the KAC.

The trigger system is a different story... IMO KAC's trigger is a better product.

About the barrel you might want to call the guys at Compass lake. They can get you a true SPR barrel. (Douglas Premium, SS, 1x7, 18", SPR contour and the original A.M.U. Chamber.)

I'll post some more gun porn tomorow... It's time for me to go to bed (4:30 AM).

This is my step-brother's new rifle. (I had to pin the mag because it still has a FH on it.)

RRA flat top with Dom2 mount, 16" HBAR, Hogue free float handguard, YHM gas block FFS, and U15 stock (of course!).

It turned out very nice. The Hogue handguard is much better than I anticipated.

                        I see it's been a few days...

since anybody posted here, so I thought I would add a new pix of my family. I'm down to 3 bare lowers now, out of the 9 I bought last year. Gonna just sit on 'em

and maybe I will build an AK or two next...

RIP Kelev my sweet Lab (and avatar). The best dog in the known universe. Thank you for 14 wonderful years. I will see you again one day.

While not my fist AR, it is my first OLL. Stag lower with the rest of the parts being aquired from arfcom EE and Brownells. The scope is a Bushnell that I've had for awhile on another rifle trigger is CMC. Barrel started as a 24" and I cut 4" off as soon as I got it. Please don't laught at my rattle can paint job, I just needed it to break up the pattern of the rifle when I'm out coyote hunting and it works. They never even saw me! It'll shoot dime size groups with BH blue box 55grn SP.
