Yeah, but the one below looks like someone threw a bunch of dust onto it for effect. Can't see any scratches, threads for the buttstock don't even have dust in them, bolt carrier looks unused. The only dinged thing on it is the aimpoint mount screw

The one above has signs of use.

Agreed!
But one is clearly dirtier than the other.
Maybe if the top picture changed the color balance by adding more warm tones, the picture might read "usage" better. Looks like the white balance is off by 1-2000 kelvins. But then again, maybe that person wanted to convey his photograph like that.
