who gives 2 shats. if you walk into most shops that have black guns you will see that they come with all sorts of flash hiders. phantom, vortex and others. Why so scared. LEO doesnt give a shat. I shoot around LEO all the time with flash hiders on ar platforms.Comment

Detachable mag centerfire rifles in California can't have flash hiders. They can have muzzle breaks, though. That's how to avoid being popped for an unregistered AW.
You're new here - so I'll be gentle.

1. You are breaking the law.
2. You are advertising on a public forum that can be traced back to you and constantly monitored by LEAs and antigun organizations that your breaking the law.
3. You are insisting that it is no big deal even after you were corrected and all but darring the LEAs and antigun organizations to go after you as well as encouraging others to break the law.
You are not going to do very well here with that attitude or that outlook. Mindset is everything my friend.
Besides, the risk is simply not worth the rewards. There are so many perfectly legal options that function just like a flash hider that there is zero need for what you are doing. Take the Panther Comp from DPMS. It is not a break, nor a flash hider. But it works like a hider and is perfectly legal. From a distance it even looks like a normal flash hider. You could find one online for $20 or so. Isn't $20 or even $50 worth staying legal? Sure most cops will look the other way. But if you draw one antigun jerk, you're screwed...and all because you were either too stubborn or too lazy to obey the law.
Here is a picture of one of the two versions of the Panther Comp from DPMS that is legal on featureless builds because legally it is a compensator and not a flash hider.

Well, it's put together, but not near finished. This is my first AR type rifle, finally got the lower and assembled it today, no extra or missing parts, passes all function tests, right on!
Upper: DPMS panther lo-pro classic Lower: Franklin armory HSC-15 with prince 50 and the add-onn funnel (I think it makes it look more obvious that the magazine is fixed, not sure of the functionality yet but it seems alright) :
I'm not sure what my final solution for a stock will be, I may keep this, repaint it, or I do like the magpul CTR I have on my kel tec, but I'm happy for now.
I'm waiting on an Eotech 516 and 3x magnifier, a magpul forend, and some other extras. I guess there were a few weather delays on a couple of my orders... First time I've ever waited longer for accessories than my DROS LOL. Oh well, if I have to I'll rip the optics off something else temporarily, I'm very excited to get it to the range this weekend. Much thanks to all the help I've gotten from Calguns, I would have been lost on my own.Comment

It is no big deal. People's feet, belly's and more make it into the rifle photos all the time.
Nice rifle by the way.Comment
