Magpul makes some amazing stuff. With the spare AR parts I had from previous builds, I just HAD to make one with all of Magpul's new kit.
(Note: 10/30 Pmag with B-15 lock used)

Thanks, Cheese. The Elzetta is pretty nice. It's well built and matches Magpul's FDE nicely (if that's a concern for you). It's relatively cheap and fits most lights. If you have a carbine length system, then the reach isn't too far, and allows for pretty natural activation. I'd guess that if it was put on a midlength or rifle length, and you didn't have long arms, it'd be a bit harder to get to your light. Definitely one of the best looking ways to mount a light on a KISS rifle, IMO.

I've only put 40 rounds through it so far (no sights yet and I don't like wasting ammo). I get my Eotech 557 Wednesday so I should have it sighted in later this week. I can't comment on accuracy yet but fit and finish is top notch. The Daniel Defense rails are fantastic. I've seen and held POF uppers at gun shows and the quality is as good if not better in my opinion and I believe the Addax is lighter and cheaper.

The action is smooth and not harsh like some people say piston systems are compared to DI and recoil is low. But I'm also used to target shooting a .300 win mag and .375 H&H mag. A 10.5" might be different because it's a carbine length instead of a mid-length system like mine. I've also shot my friends XCR and in my opinion the Addax is better but I haven't done a head to head comparison. Any specific questions just toss them out and I'll do my best to answer.

I sold my ar.... sold a couple lowers and a couple LPK's.... sold a bunch of mags told my wife I was done with AR's. A few days later Im in the closet and what do I find but a CMMG lower and LPK under my range bag! well...... here we go again.

Bought a CMMG upper from another CG member....



Picked up a MOE stock and hand guards from Bravo Company and a matech from paladin4415



Everything came today! YIPPEEEEEEE..... I just plopped down on the floor and got down to it.
