NO way. Vest doesn't match the pants, no sign of trauma plate, hat's wrong, and he's standing on 1 foot.

        Tactical FAIL.

You guys seriously need to quit with the bashing. the OP made it clear in is post that he didn't want to hear a bunch of people whining about what they like to do with their AKs. If you don't like it, buy another AK and keep it stock to make things in balance.

No, no, no. Balance means that there is tension. What we want is harmony.

I had UTG rails and they worked well, held tight, but as far as folding stocks, they dont look right unless they are factory ones, the folding stocks that utilize the factory rear tang just look funny IMO.

i have US made handguards from KVAR with the Heat Shields. they are identical copies to the Original Bulgarian hand guards. the heat shields really work.

i've tried other US made plastic/ polymer handguards and they all melted.

the Rail U see underneath is homemade.. i basically sawed off a weaver rail desgined for the AR standard handguard. filed it down to fit the contour of my handguard. drill some holes and mounted it with hardware that came with the weaver rail.

i did this mod about 10yrs ago to my rifles and several of my friends AK rifles. still tight to this day.

i did this mod way before anyone was selling / Mfging AK handguards with built in rails.

if i had to mod another set of handguards.. i go the same route. like i said, the Heat shields really work.

[mode]Uh, posting for comments on a particular gun configuration doesn't make you immune from negative comments...you know about "opinions". You're likely to hear both positive and negative comments.

When your posts asks about making the gun more "bad-donkey", you're leaving youself wide open[/mode]

AK's, like FAL's but unlike AR's, work better without anything from Ultimax, Tapco, or the other company I can't remember that makes cheap stocks for Mosin's, Mauser's, etc.

The ak designer made a basic gun that will run forever and designed it to be used by soldiers with no sophistication nor education. That's what OP has to work with. I say, stick with accessories that came with the rifle...i.e., if you want to scope it, use the rivited rail and a Commie scope...it works better that way.

Otoh, read my first post in the thread...if looks make a better gun, go for it. If you feel that it's the shooter more than the gun that makes the impression, buy more ammo and practice.

I disagree. If you the OP specifically asks that people refrain from posting what he refers to as "hater" comments, I think the least one could do would be to honor his request.
