Keep the M1a, but if you can afford it buy the LR 308. Seems like a decent price

            Which Burger King?

I don't accept the idea that you need to only have one .308.
Keep yours and get the LR.
$1200 is a good deal but don't sell

M1a without a bb is still better than an ar10 or lr308 imho

I have the DPMS LR-308 (24" bull barrel) and love it. Shoots anything I feed it. That said, my next purchase will be an M1A. They are solid shooters, easy to maintain, and worth the money day in and day out.

                    M,

You need to sit down with a cup of Joe and figure out where your "ultimate" use needs lie within your collection.

The weapons serve different functions and platforms

If you sit down with a cold beer the decision structure is much easier-Hell no don't sell the M1a...build or buy a better AR .308 than the dpms...save up and Cry once/Buy once

Lack of familiarity with optics...can have horrible results. Do your homework and practice with it ...it is a decent scope for the money

Opinions are like noses...we all have one_Pops

                      Keep it.

It's a tried and true robust action and will give many years of service.

Im kinda in the same predicament. I just bought a SA TRP Operator full rail. I figured I could just sell my Walnut Standard M1A and it would pay for the Operator. I don't like shooting my M1A that much, its expensive to shoot and at 100 yards it not much fun. As much and I don't really like shooting my M1A I love it if that makes any sense haha. M1As IMO are one of the most sexy rifles. I've wanted one since I was like 15 and watched FMJ for the 1st time. I think Ill just end up keeping it and make it work with owning both. They are both Grail guns on mine!

In CA, keep the M1A. No BB.

Over the years I have sold off a few of my M14s, but I would not sell my only one.
