I"m not letting it stop me if I want something.
Right now I'm good. In the future I might pick up a lever action.
Won't be hard to keep track of what is registered and what was not.

I bought pretty much only rifles in the lead up to 1/1/14, and am buying SSE pistols in the run up to 1/1/15 (assuming our fears are confirmed).

After my 'strategic' purchases, I'll probably pick up the long guns I didn't get in under the wire.

And what can I say? I just like ships . . . and the food was better, too.

Haven't changed a single thing in my buying. They already have all my information with all the pistols I have bought. To think that the rifles are any differently is just silly.

And if you are not buying rifles now because of registration, why did you buy pistols that were registered? Seems kind of tin hat wearing to me if you were ok with them knowing about your pistols but your scared about them knowing about your rifles.

If you're buying longs just keep them separate from the long guns you bought before Dec 31. Same with your registered handguns, keep the separate from your unregistered long guns.

Legally owned unregistered guns are sacred IMO.

Nothing like the pitch and roll of a flat-bottomed LST when the swells come in!

Okay, back on topic . . . I bought three new rifles last month. Molon labe!

Since the illegalls stole my boat and killed that whale, I have nothing to worry about.

After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

Am I the only one that put the kibosh on long gun purchases?

My fear has not been confiscation.
My fear is right now if a LEO pulls a gun check they see 10-12 handguns. If i continue to buy by the end of they year they will pull a gun check an see 25-35 guns on that gun check.
Now I dont know what they see when they pull one but this could end up a felony stop over a speeding ticket or if they come to my house for a noise complaint that is actually my neighbors or some other dumb reason that im not involved in, I back the badge but the world is a crazy place.
I dont feel safe knowing that some rookie can come to my door guns drawn expecting me to come out in a blaze of glory for having a hobby.

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of excercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate excercise to the body, it gives independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are to violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion of your walks." Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785.

Yes. Bought a couple lowers last year. If I need another rifle I will build one out.

I think you assume too much. My LEO friends say routine computer screens in a traffic stop do not pull up all the guns you own. They don't see anything except wants and warrants. (And normal DL information)

If they come to your house they will need probable cause and a valid search warrant.

                          So you're worried about FUD.

                          Buy what you want.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Matt at Ironwood said he will start making wood furniture sets for unconverted Saiga rifles this year, so I'm DROSing a .308 in the next week!

Saiga .308 with walnut furniture =

Not sure why many are worried? You fill out a DROS and have a background check. They know you purchased a firearm lol Your SS and the serial of the firearm are tied to each other. They know all the firearms I purchased last year and they will know about all the fire arms I purchase in the future.
