I have quite a few registered handguns.

I will continue to buy if there is something I want.

I figure that when "registration leads to confiscation" everything else will be so far gone, that them knowing what I have won't make an iota of difference.

Eh, already on their list due to handgun purchases, but I'll pass on continuing to feed the beast with more DROS fees. I'll focus on ammo, ammo and optics instead.

My wife and I recently purchased our carry pistols and I continue to purchase ammo when its on the shelves. I'm still recovering from the seven long arms and two handguns I bought last year. Not a lot of funds for the long guns I would like to buy. Combine that with the fact that the Tavor I want would be so neutured as to make it not so fun, I will probably wait a bit to buy more.

I plan on shooting a lot more then buying firearms this year, but with the roster dropping a lot of handguns maybe one or two pistols I've had my eye on I might have to pick up. Though my Vepr 12 is on day 1 of its 10 days in jail. Registration wouldn't stop me from purchasing anything or fear of confiscation. I don't like it, but I'm still going to buy what I want.

I haven't purchased any new long guns because of the registration law, but I did just recently acquired a brand new Beretta M9

No. Don't let FUD control your life.

You've bought into the "registration will lead to confiscation" FUD. You don't want to be left with no guns after they are confiscated, so to avoid this, you're not going to buy any guns that can be confiscated. In other words, you don't want the government to take your guns, so you're not going to buy any to begin with. Does anyone else see the sad irony in this?

By giving up, you lost. And you let them beat you without taking a single shot.

I have bought six rifles since March, so I would say that, no, I haven't stopped buying longarms. But then again I have picked up three handguns in the same time period, so I really haven't stopped buying at all. The only holdup I have, is after all these recent purchases, I have no more money.

I bought a couple of long guns I've wanted for a while at the end of last year to avoid registration.

Yes, it is letting them win. First of all, there is no such thing as 80% builds. Secondly, homebuilds are very limiting. There are not that many different types of firearms that can be manufactured at home easily. Finally, there homebuilds don't allow one to collect firearms that will appreciate in value.

Now, I have nothing against homebuilds. I just understand that there are a lot of different firearms out there that don't lend themselves to being manufactured at home.

Personally, this whole registration procedure is an LOL, probably the same for some- if you have nothing to hide- there's nothing to worry about...

Its not that I'm OK with registration, or that I feel I have nothing to hide.

Its that since I already have handguns, the damaged is already done.
