No one runs a plain jane AR. Except...

I will say that my original intention was to make the point that a lot of us run simple setups and people don't need to spend a lot of money on accessories to "get into" the AR. It's a very capable system with very simple parts. I'm a little disenchanted by how many times I've seen "that's not plain enough" pop up on this thread, I guess there will always be people trying to make a club that they can kick others out of.

I don't run one yet, but I will be. I sold my tacticool M-forgery and bought a plain jane underfolding AK. I'm probably going to buy a lower for an AR rifle build sometime this week.

Plain AR's are by FAR the best looking, except for those who need ultra-tacticool rifles to match their body armor and camo pants lol.

My first AR is a Stag 1H upper with an A2 buttstock. Pretty plain jane and one of my favorites.
