    UMP conversion

Has anyone else run into "ordering troubles" with HDPS.org in regards to successfully submitting an order? I have emailed them three times now starting three weeks ago and have not heard a word from them yet. I am initially looking for the rail set and the sling mounts until my gun account gains some more girth.

For those of you who do not know, HDPS.org has only a fax number and an email address to submit orders which makes for trouble if they decide not to read emails, or one does not have a fax machine.

If anyone else has had good or bad feedback from them or wishes to point me in another direction, please do not hesitate to put your $.02 in.

Ed at hdps.org is very nice and knowledgeable person to deal with.

However, he is a one man company and hdps.org is not his main business. He might be out of town or something if he didn't get back to your within 24hrs.

I've order my rails through him without any problems.

Try these contacts (he doesn't usually answer the phone, so just leave a message.)

I had the same frustrations early on. I learned that if you simply fax him the order that you want and put your credit card number on the fax, your item WILL get to you without problems. I did that with my entire UMP conversion...rather than sending the whole thing, I did it in parts just in case. Everytime I submitted an order, it took 2 weeks max for turnaround time. In terms of email, he'll rarely respond unless it's about an order you submitted.

Ed is a great guy though...it seems like there are a bunch of pricks in the gun industry but I've run into nothing but classy and very helpful folks on the H&K side. Adam Webber at HKParts.net, Gordon Miller at HKspecialist.net, Ed Montagna at HDPS.org are by far stand up, helpful, and nice folk.
