How bad is cleaning corrosive 5.45 in an AR?

I'm going to be building a 5.45 AR pretty soon.

I'm thinking of saving a few bucks and some weight and going DI, but I don't know how difficult it is to clean the corrosive crap out. I know cleaning my 5.56 AR isn't too bad, but it could be that I'm not getting it clean enough vs what I'd need to do with corrosive.

Any experience? Suggestions? Lighter and cheaper is nice but I also know buy once, cry once...

What I do is fill the bath tub with warm soapy water then dump the rifles in. Let'em soak for a bit and then rinse. Disassemble and and dry off. Clean and oil every part.

Feed her AK food, treat her like an AK. Well, almost, she likes a bit more lube than an AK.

With corrosive primers it's a little different, especially if the gun is going to sit for some time.

Heard Windex works good at getting the corrosive stuff out. You'll have to pay special attention to the gas system.

The corrosives are salts. Just water will rinse away. Warm soapy water to works best.

Not sure that will remove the salt.

Most gun cleaning solvents do not remove the salts from corrosive ammo. After all they are designed for modern guns that do not fire corrosive ammo.

I use clp. I own a 5.45 in an ar. You must clean it right after. I failed to one time. The flash hider was rusted in the inside and had to use a Mallot to get the bolt out. Cleaning is a must. Pretty accurate

Windex down the bore and on the face of the bolt work great if you aren't going to have time to clean your rifle right away.
