    Clone MP5 (9mm) oR Clone MP5/40 ?

Just wanted to know what your thoughts where on which on to possibly go with. Aside from the difference in cost of ammo and assuming some hypothetical gun shop has both in stock made by Vector/Cohaire, which would you go with.

Parts availability are a concern, however with websites like HKparts.net or Hkspecialists.net this issue seems to be null d/t an abundance of just about any part being available for either platform.

So, assuming I don't any previous stockpiles of either type of ammo (ie other similar caliber handguns) which would you pick"

    Thank you

9mm. Traditional and ammo costs are greatly less .. Although you said aside from ammo cost...

Vector doesn't make a 9mm anymore or any pistol caliber HK Clones.

9mm because i thought it was what it was designed for right?

        if so getting a 40 is like getting a AK47 in .223

I would stick with the original caliber intended for the MP5 - 9mm

Even if HK Parts.net and others do stock some parts for the .40 version, pricewise they are always going to be more(and often a lot more) and scarcer than the 9mm examples. Original HK parts that you may decide to swap into the gun in the future like some people have done are getting higher in price for the 9mm stuff as it is, let alone what the .40 specific items would go for. If you've got the cash resource, go for what you want.

                    9mm

The HK MP-5 was designed to chamber this caliber (as we all know).

I would just stick to 9mm. Plus the ammo is available all over the place!

Here's an interesting review of the Bobcat BW5 I found:

Oh and yes go with 9mm.

Excellent point Radd, I forgot about that one.

                          Paddle only on .40 Cal.

Actually 40 is a larger cal. than .9mm so it's like getting an AK 47 in 308! (better)
